  • To send verification emails or respond to support requests

If you create an account but do not verify your email, your account will be automatically deleted after 15 days. Verified accounts remain active unless deleted by you.

3. File Storage and Features

Every user receives 50 GB of free cloud storage upon registration. With Files 4 Share, you can:

  • Upload and download files
  • Create, delete, and organize folders
  • Move files between folders
  • Access your storage via our Windows desktop app

Premium storage plans include 100 GB, 250 GB, 500 GB, and 1 TB options.

4. Data Security

  • Your password is encrypted and never visible to anyone — not even us.
  • All user data is stored securely using modern encryption and access controls.
  • We do not share your data with any third parties.
  • No advertisements, tracking, or analytics are used.
  • Your data is protected by Sectigo SSL encryption, ensuring that all sensitive information is kept safe during transmission.
  • We have implemented two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security during the login process. This 2FA system requires a verification code sent to your registered email address, ensuring that only authorized users can access their accounts.
  • Files 4 Share uses its own in-house developed Web Application Firewall (WAF) to protect all user data and application endpoints. Our WAF is thoroughly tested and meets high industry security standards, including protection against SQL injection, XSS, RCE, and other common threats. It is continuously updated and has successfully passed external audits such as ImmuniWeb and Cloudbric Labs.

Furthermore, our infrastructure and security practices are aligned with key compliance standards including PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).

Password Recovery

If you forget your password, you can use the "Forgot Password" feature to receive a secure recovery link by email. Only the account owner can reset the password using this link. For your protection, we will never send your actual password — only a reset link.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you request to delete your account or data through the Files 4 Share dashboard, your account and data will be permanently deleted immediately upon confirmation. There will be no backup to recover your data once deleted.

6. User Rights

Under data protection laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Deletion: You can request the deletion of your account and personal data from our systems.
